Catch a Brainrot on Roblox is a Pokémon-like creature-collecting RPG from Indieun, released July 10, 2026 after a two-week delay. Pokémon-like creature collecting RPG with Brainrots on Roblox
Pokémon-like Roblox RPG: explore World One, battle with Charge skills, weaken wild Brainrots, catch with crates and boxes, earn Tong coins
This Catch a Brainrot beginner guide walks through your first hour in World One: pick a starter Brainrot, learn the Charge battle system, weaken wild species, catch them with capture crates, and reinvest Tong coins into better golden boxes.
New players should read starters and how to catch Brainrots before leaving the Brain Rot Center hub.
Every session in Catch a Brainrot follows a Pokémon-like rhythm built around exploration, turn-based-style Charge combat, and capture management:
Unlike Steal a Brainrot tycoon games, Catch a Brainrot sends you into World One routes with a party of Brainrots. You battle wild species, weaken them, throw the right capture box, and register new entries in the Brain Index for XP rewards.
Tong coins flow from passive party income and selling duplicates. Reinvest early earnings into shop-unlocked golden boxes so higher-level Epic Brainrots (roughly Level 15–20 in World One) stay catchable.
| Phase | Tag | Goal |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 🗺️ Explore | Leave Brain Rot Center and walk World One routes |
| 2 | ⚡ Charge | Build Charge before Firework, Whirlpool, Splash, or Shield |
| 3 | ⚔️ Weaken | Lower wild Brainrot HP in battle without knocking them out |
| 4 | 📦 Catch | Throw Rock Box or golden capture box when HP is low |
| 5 | 📖 Index | Register each new species for Brain Index XP |
| 6 | 💰 Earn | Collect Tong coins from party passives and sales |
Your save begins at the Brain Rot Center — the hub that heals your party between routes. Use the map teleport back here whenever HP runs low or you need to swap capture boxes from the shop.
The intro cutscene features Tung Tung Tung Sahur, but your actual starter choice is one of three species: Triple T Sahur, Fluri Flura, or Boneca Ambalabu. You cannot reroll without a new Roblox alt, so read best starter before confirming.
World One displays a spawn rate table in the bottom-left corner of each zone. Glance at it before grinding — Uncommon Brainrots show a green glow, Rare species glow blue, and Epic targets often sit around Level 15–20.
Three treasure chests are scattered across World One. Clear nearby wild battles first so chest routes stay safe, then return to the center to heal before pushing deeper.

Battles in Catch a Brainrot use a Charge system instead of traditional PP meters. Your Brainrot must build Charge before any skill fires — you cannot spam Firework, Whirlpool, Splash, or Shield back-to-back.
Early fights teach the rhythm: use basic actions to fill Charge, spend it on one skill, then rebuild. Shield helps when a wild Brainrot outlevels your starter; Splash and Whirlpool apply steady pressure; Firework finishes weakened targets before you throw a box.
If a wild Brainrot is too strong, retreat to the Brain Rot Center, heal, and return with a box that matches its level cap. Throwing a Rock Box at a Level 18 Epic wastes Tong coins — upgrade to golden boxes as the shop unlocks.
Full input bindings for Charge skills and capture throws live on the controls guide and mobile HUD page.
| Skill | Tag | Beginner use |
|---|---|---|
| Firework | 💥 | Burst damage — finish weakened catches safely |
| Whirlpool | 🌀 | Sustained pressure — wear down Uncommon green-glow targets |
| Splash | 💧 | Reliable damage — general World One route clearing |
| Shield | 🛡️ | Damage reduction — survive higher-level wild Brainrots |
After weakening a wild Brainrot, open your inventory and throw a capture crate or box. The Rock Box handles early Commons; golden shop boxes add level caps required for rarer glow tiers.
Shop progress is XP gated — catching one of each species for the Brain Index unlocks better boxes over time. Do not skip low-level species; Index XP is the fastest path to L15 and L22 golden boxes.
| Box | Level cap | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Rock Box | No cap (early) | Basic capture crate for World One Common hunts. |
| Golden Box (L9 cap) | Up to L9 | Catches Brainrots up to Level 9. |
| Golden Box (L15 cap) | Up to L15 | Catches Brainrots up to Level 15 — Epic range in World One. |
| Golden Box (L22 cap) | Up to L22 | Catches Brainrots up to Level 22 — late World One routes. |
Tong coins are the main currency in Catch a Brainrot. Your party generates passive Tong coins over time even when you are exploring, which mirrors the Pokémon-like "send Brainrots to work" fantasy on Roblox.
Sell duplicate catches or low-tier filler species when party slots fill up. Prioritize golden box purchases before cosmetic spends — a failed catch on a Rare blue-glow Brainrot costs more than the box price.
Epic Brainrots in World One can reach Level 15–20. If catches keep failing, check both HP weaken threshold and whether your box level cap is high enough.
The Brain Index works like a dex. Each first-time species you catch adds Index XP and reveals spawn data. Completionists should aim for one of every World One species before rushing chest three.
Rarity glow colors are consistent in launch-week builds: Common has no special glow, Uncommon pulses green, Rare pulses blue, and Epic targets often require L15+ golden boxes.
Cross-check species names on the Brainrots list and Brainrot tier list when deciding which catches to keep for Tong coin passives.
| Rarity | Glow | World One notes |
|---|---|---|
| Common | — | Rock Box friendly · high spawn rates |
| Uncommon | 🟢 Green | Check bottom-left spawn table |
| Rare | 🔵 Blue | Mid-route spawns · L9+ boxes |
| Epic | ✨ High level | ~L15–20 · L15 or L22 golden boxes |
